Proceedings of the Metabolic Museum-University (2020–21)

Between November 2020 and May 2021, during the height of the Covid 19 pandemic, the faculty of the MM-U met every three weeks online in the Bureau d’Esprit. This ‘office of the mind’ enabled an exchange of ideas around each faculty member’s personal research and their individual collections. Members included designers BLESS, media and art historian Matthias Bruhn, curator Clémentine Deliss, curator and director of KW Krist Gruijthuijsen, artist Iman Issa, composer and musician Augustin Maurs, novelist Tom McCarthy, artist Henrike Naumann, curator Azu Nwagbogu, anthropologist Margareta von Oswald, designer Manuel Raeder, lawyer Elhadj Abdoulaye Sène, and artists Krista Belle Stewart and Luke Willis Thompson. The edited transcripts of the sessions were published as part of a relaunch of Metronome, the independent artists’ and writers’ organ edited by Clémentine Deliss since 1996.
