Sleeping Works (2026)

This exhibition was the final event of the Metabolic Museum Masters course for 2025-2026.

Students elected to hold an exhibition in the cellar of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels. Called “Sleeping Works”, it consisted of prototypes loaned from the studios of their fellow art students. The reasoning behind each prototype was elucidated by each artist, recorded, and transcribed. The labels were hand-made and provided options for the visitor: a ceramic, painted eye meant ‘look only’, whereas other signs indicated touch or even the removal of the work for completion elsewhere.
